School Emails: The Events That Matter, a Few Days Ahead, in One Text

By Aneesh Modi ·

The school sends a lot of email. Somewhere in it is the trip that needs a packed lunch, the exam next Tuesday and the concert on Thursday afternoon. You find out the night before, or the morning of.

Kiwi reads it for you. It notices the events that matter and tells you a few days ahead, in your morning text, so there's time to sort the costume, move a meeting or take the afternoon off.

What it looks like

Good morning. Lena's school trip is on Wednesday and needs a packed lunch. Her maths exam is on Friday

One line in the morning text, with everything else that matters today. No separate app, and nothing to forward.

Where Kiwi finds the dates

Tell Kiwi your children's names once ("my daughter is Lena"), and it looks for them in:

Then it helps with the free time

When a free afternoon or weekend comes up, Kiwi can offer to plan something with the kids. It brings two ideas with times and prices, and books the one you pick. More in Free this weekend?

How to start

Tap Text Kiwi on heykiwi.co and pick iPhone or Android. It opens Messages or WhatsApp with "Hi Kiwi" already written, so you just press send. Then say "connect Gmail" or "connect Outlook".

Questions people ask

How far ahead does it tell me? A few days ahead, in the morning text. Anything that can't wait comes at the moment it matters.

Can both parents get it? Yes. Each parent texts Kiwi from their own phone and connects their own email.

Is it free? Yes. Kiwi is free to use. More in Is Kiwi free?
