Kiwi vs Meta Muse: Which AI Assistant Is Right for You?

Kiwi and Meta's Muse are both AI assistants that do things for you, not just answer questions. They book, buy and send on your behalf, and both ask before anything that matters. The difference is where they start: Kiwi is built to notice what needs doing and text you first, in the messages app you already use.

The short version: Muse is Meta's agent, used in its own app, on the web and in WhatsApp, in the US. Kiwi is a proactive assistant you text on iMessage or WhatsApp. It messages you before you ask, does it when you say yes, works in Spain, the UAE and the rest of Europe as well as the US, and is free to use.

Facts about Muse are from Meta's own pages: its announcement, checked on 12 October 2026, and its help centre, checked on 24 September 2026.

Built to go first

Most assistants wait to be asked. Kiwi is built the other way round. It keeps an eye on your calendar, your email and the things you asked it to watch, and when something needs doing, it messages you once, at the right time:

Your dentist moved you to Thursday at 4. That clashes with pickup, want me to ask for 5:30 instead?

You reply "yes", and it's done. Meta says Muse can also make suggestions on its own, based on what it remembers about you. With Kiwi, going first is the whole idea, and it arrives as a normal text in the thread you already have open.

In the app you already use

Muse lives in its own app and on the web, and you can also message it on WhatsApp. Kiwi lives in your messages: iMessage on an iPhone or a Mac, and WhatsApp on any phone. There is no new app to open and nothing to check. It's a contact, like a friend who handles things.

Doing it when you say yes

Both get real things done. Kiwi books the ride, orders dinner, reserves the table, replies to the email or cancels the subscription, on the apps you already use, and on a company's website when there's no app. Anything that costs money shows its price first, and Kiwi only says something is booked once the company confirms it.

Where it works

Meta is rolling Muse out in the US. Kiwi works in the US and in Spain, the UAE and the rest of Europe, on iMessage and WhatsApp.

Price

Muse is free for most needs, with paid plans for heavier use: Power at $20 a month and Maximum at $100 a month, according to Meta. Kiwi is free to use, with no card needed to start. When Kiwi books something for you, you pay the company directly, at the price Kiwi showed you first. More in Is Kiwi free?

Privacy

Kiwi never sells your data and never shows your passwords to its AI: they are encrypted before they're saved and filled in for you. Nothing written in an email or on a website can tell Kiwi what to do. Only you can. More in Is Kiwi safe?
