A Morning Text With What Matters Today, Without Opening Your Inbox

By Aneesh Modi ·

Most mornings start with the inbox: forty emails, three of which matter, and you have to read all forty to find them.

Kiwi reads them for you. Each morning it sends one text with what matters today, from your email and your calendar. Anything that can't wait comes at the moment it matters. Everything else stays out of your way.

What the morning text looks like

Good morning. Your call with Sam is at 10, and the dentist is at 4. Marta replied about the deposit, it's coming back on Monday. Your phone bill is due on Friday

One message, in plain words. No list of every email, just the few things that need you.

What comes at once, and what waits

Kiwi texts once, at the right time:

On Sunday evening you get a short wrap of what Kiwi did for you that week.

Then just reply

The morning text is a conversation. Reply "reply to Marta and say thanks", "move the dentist to Thursday" or "remind me about the bill on Thursday", and Kiwi does it. Anything that sends an email or costs money waits for your yes.

What it reads

Your calendar and email: Google Calendar, Gmail and Outlook. Say "connect Gmail" or "connect Outlook" and Kiwi walks you through it. You choose what to connect, and you can disconnect anything by asking.

Don't want the morning text? Tell Kiwi "no morning text" and it stops.

How to start

Tap Text Kiwi on heykiwi.co and pick iPhone or Android. It opens Messages or WhatsApp with "Hi Kiwi" already written, so you just press send.

Questions people ask

Is this an email digest? It's shorter. Kiwi doesn't list your emails. It tells you the few things that need you today, with your calendar alongside.

Can it reply to emails for me? Yes. Tell Kiwi what to say and it sends the reply from your email.

Does it work with Outlook? Yes. Kiwi works with Gmail, Outlook and Google Calendar.

What time does it come? In the morning, your time. Ask Kiwi to send it earlier or later.
