Poke is one of the best-known AI assistants you can text. It's fun to talk to, it connects to a long list of apps, and it has a big library of add-ons. Kiwi lives in your messages too, but it's built around one idea: it goes first, and then it gets the thing done.
The short version: Poke is a playful assistant with lots of add-ons, and its real-world errands are handled by people on its $199 plan. Kiwi texts you first by default, and books, orders and replies for you on any app or website when you say yes, for free.

Kiwi goes first, out of the box
Poke can send you a morning briefing, chase emails that went unanswered and more, mostly through "recipes" you choose and install.
Kiwi does this from the first day, with nothing to set up. It keeps an eye on your calendar and email, and messages you once, at the right time, when something needs doing:
Your flight to London tomorrow is delayed by an hour. Want me to book a car for 7:30 so you're not rushing? UberX is €34, Comfort €41
You reply "UberX", and it's booked.
Errands, done for you, free
With Poke, real-world tasks like restaurant reservations, phone calls, orders and rides go to Poke Human, a team of real people, on the $199 Ultra plan.
Kiwi does them itself, on any app or website, as soon as you say yes. It books the ride, orders dinner, reserves the table, replies to the email and cancels the subscription. Anything that costs money shows its price first, and Kiwi only says something is booked once the company confirms it. And it's free.
Price
Poke has a free plan with a small allowance, Pro at $19 a month and Ultra at $199 a month. Kiwi is free to use, with no card needed to start. When it books something for you, you pay the company directly, at the price Kiwi showed you first. See Is Kiwi free?
Privacy
Poke's privacy notice says it uses personal data to improve its products, including to train its AI models. Kiwi doesn't use your conversations or connected accounts to train general-purpose AI models, never sells your data, and never shows your passwords to its AI. More in Is Kiwi safe?
