Flight Price Drop Alerts by Text, and Booked When You Say So

By Aneesh Modi ·

You've found the flight. It's a bit too expensive, so you wait, check again tomorrow, and the day after. Then it goes up.

Kiwi does the checking. Tell it the flight you're thinking about, and it looks at the fare every day and texts you when it drops. When you say "book it", Kiwi books it.

How it works

Text Kiwi the trip, in your own words:

Let me know if flights to Rome on 12 December go under €100

Kiwi checks the cheapest fare once a day, or more often if you ask. When it drops below your price, you get one text:

Your flight to Rome just dropped to €84

Reply "book it", and Kiwi books that fare, showing the price first. If it's changed by the time you answer, Kiwi tells you before anything is paid.

Watch a whole week

Flexible on dates? Ask Kiwi to watch a range: "the cheapest day to fly to Lisbon in the first week of December". It watches the cheapest day in that range and tells you when it drops.

Up to five fares, cheapest first

Ask "flights to London next Friday" any time, and Kiwi sends up to five real fares, cheapest first, with times and airlines. Pick one in your own words, like "the 9am one", and Kiwi books it.

After you book

Kiwi keeps an eye on the flight from your airline's emails. If it's badly delayed or cancelled, Kiwi tells you what you're likely owed and claims it for you.

How to start

Tap Text Kiwi on heykiwi.co and pick iPhone or Android. It opens Messages or WhatsApp with "Hi Kiwi" already written, so you just press send.

Questions people ask

How often does Kiwi check the price? Once a day unless you ask for more often.

Does Kiwi charge a fee to book? No. Kiwi is free to use, and no airline can pay to change what Kiwi shows you. Fares come cheapest first.

Can I watch more than one flight? Yes. Tell Kiwi each one, and it watches them all.

How is this different from a price alert app? Kiwi watches the fare and books it too, in the same chat, and keeps an eye on the flight after you've booked.
